In the past, the business of lighting design and manufacturing has been geared toward in-person and face to face collaboration. As a relationship-based practice, we at Halper Lighting Solutions, have in the past always gone out of our way to meet in person, so are really feeling the impact of COVID-19. Fortunately, at HLS we have had experience in ongoing collaborations in other parts of the country, prior to COVID-19, allowing our design, engineering, and manufacturing staff to grow accustomed to virtual meetings. We have now amped up our technology to communicate and collaborate from a distance. Our hope is that with all the new working arrangements, it will create new opportunities.
So far, clients, consultants, and contractors have not indicated any significant changes in their goals, but as we all know the way we do business needs to be modified as the economic impact of this virus looms large. We are always thinking creatively about how to support our customers and actively working with our customers to reimagine what is possible, thereby creating successful solutions and experiences for all.
We think that COVID-19 is a test of resilience, and an opportunity to better tune communication, efficiency, and design capabilities. Despite all that is happening around us, we, as creative people, continue to adapt. our adaptations could surprise and inspire us all.
